Not quite a slump but...
1.28.2008

...almost. I'm fighting it, honest! It seems like January is the month I most want to re-read old faves rather than read stuff from the mountain. I don't know why - I'm just weird like that, I guess. ;-)

Anyone else have a strange reading cycle?

I like to read historicals more in the winter and contemps more in the summer. That's weird, I think. ;)

Completely unrelated: Did you say you got a Macbook for Christmas? Or some other model of Mac? Because my Macbook is driving me mad--the wireless connection keeps dropping and I've been on the discussion boards at Apple and it seems like tons of people are having the same trouble. :( What good is a laptop these days without reliable wireless? ARGH. I'm almost tempted to return the damn thing.

Hey Jennie - you know, I think I read more paranormals during the winter, as I think about it. Hmmm...weird.

Anyhoo, yup I got a MacBook for Christmas. I haven't noticed anything weird with the wireless (I haven't switched everything over from my iBook, though, so I'm still using it more). My cordless phones recently started causing wireless issues with both Macs - after years of no problems at all. I found a few solutions online and they seem to be working so far.

If it is an Apple issue and it is being discussed at the Apple site, you can be sure they're looking into it and will push out a fix soon. Patience is a virtue, remember? :o)
