Happy Leap Day, peeps!

From me and my favorite froggy!

An update - it's also Sadie Hawkins Day. Hat tip to the ever fabulous Word Wenches for reminding me. Get out there and propose, ladies!

Hey, look! A bonus...
2.25.2008

...from the very popular Lisa Kleypas.

A Christmas novella that is connected to the Wallflowers series. W00t! Details are HERE. The hero will be the Bowman girls' brother Rafe, plus we'll get to revisit our old friends. Cool!

Shame on me...I'm a bad blogger!
2.24.2008

I know I've been missing in action a lot lately. Getting all the home theater stuff set up and getting data transferred from the iBook to the macBook, getting ready for a friend's wedding and getting all the vacay plans together has taken more time than I thought. Blah. Still, the home theater is up and running (including the HD DVR - W00t!). I finally got the stuff transferred to the macBook, I don't have to do anything else for the wedding for at least another week and only a couple of little things left on the vacay planning front. Yay!

Speaking of HD - wow, high definition is not the friend of aging actors and actresses! Eek! Somebody put a filter on the lens or something! ;-)

Next on the agenda - my taxes. Double blah.

Tagged again...
2.16.2008

Cindy tagged me for the “6 unimportant facts about me” meme.

The rules are:
1. Link back to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Share six unimportant things about yourself.
4. Tag six random people at the end of your blog entry.
5. Let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs.

So here we go:

1. I want to win the lottery (just a small jackpot, thanks) but can't play because my state doesn't participate. :o(

2. My favorite color is blue.

3. I have recently become a Doctor Who fan.

4. I could be a hermit (with cable and internet access) and not complain.

5. I love to bake but don't enjoy cooking.

6. I love cool socks.

Hmmm...tagging more people. Okay, you (yeah, you) reading this right now - if you haven't already done this, consider yourself tagged. :-p

I haven't been around much, I know...
2.09.2008

...I'm still trying to get all my electronic whatnot set-up. I'm almost there, I think. The only thing left is the switching of the cable box (going HD I am) and that is scheduled for Tuesday around lunchtime. W00t! In the meantime, I have a few extra channels already turned on to try out, thanks to the cable company's customer service lady. Wheee!

Anyone else doing anything exciting??

Rock the...
2.05.2008

...so, if you live in a Super Tuesday state (I do), I hope you voted today. I did, even though I was home sick...patriotic, that would be me. ;-) Yikes, it was a struggle! My polling place had moved (I had no idea...at least there was a sign telling me where to go). As it turned out, the new location was practically right around the corner from my house- I could have walked, for crying out loud!

Does anyone else find it odd that I vote at a church (both old and new locations)? Maybe it's just me.

Not much going on...
2.02.2008

I apologize for the earworm. LOL I've still been packing things away and shifting boxes around. Blah. Still, new Doctor Who and Torchwood on BBC America tonight, so I get a reward for all my efforts. And the Super Bowl is tomorrow, remember. I don't have a lot of interest in the game but I do enjoy the commercials and the halftime show. ;-)

I hope the rest of you are having more fun than I am, peeps.
