Finished! No spoilers from me...
7.22.2007

Well, peeps, I just finished HP7 and it was excellent! The potential for nitpicking was huge, of course, and satisfying everyone seemed unlikely but she did it! I can't see how anyone but the pickiest of nitpickers could fault the final installment of Harry's story. And even then, they will be grasping at straws, says me.

I say that she brought everything to the exact close it needed. She answered all the nagging questions and kept us on the edges of our seats (or sofas or beds or wherever your choice reading spots might be). I laughed in places, cried in places, was scared for our friends and enjoyed their triumphs with them.

There aren't enough stars or plusses to give this one, peeps.

If you haven't read these books - for crying out loud, what are you waiting for?!

ETA: There could be spoilers in the comments. Be warned!

Ames - yup! It was exactly what it needed to be to finish everything off. And don't think I didn't notice you read the spoilers over at Zeek's page. Sneak! Shame on you!! LOL

There were quite a few things I rolled my eyes over but I did LOVE it still. She did great, IMO, since it's way hard to finish such and epic and not have stupid moments. At least the good outweighted the bad.

Ames - *shaking head* don't you feel guilty? ;-) Did you like the movie?

Cindy - come on over to the dark side (you know you want to), we have cookies!

Mailyn - wasn't it amazing how she finished off every little thing anyone could ask about?? Yup, there were a couple of things that made me groan a little but even that was part of the fun.

I loved it too! I read it all in one day because I couldn't stop. :) I really want to post a review but I'm not sure how much I can say without giving spoilers.

But I was expecting it to be good. I figure if she was going to crack under the pressure she'd have done it around book 5---but they're all good. Different, but good.

Jennie - all in one day, huh? I couldn't manage (mostly because I didn't check my mail until late Saturday, duh). :o)

Yup, I expected it to be good and I agree that she would have cracked earlier, if she were going to. Still, it was a relief that it turned out as well as it did.

I still wanna know what are Harry, Ron, Hermione and Giny's jobs. LOL.

I wanna know about the baby that was with Harry and Dumbledore. What was that supposed to represent?

I think Hermione should end up as a Muggle liaison or something. Or textbook author for the next generation of wizards and witches. I don't know about Ron and Harry...something boring, hopefully. LOL

You're not the only one, trust me! Blah. Why can't I be independently wealty?? WHY?!?!?!!?

I thought the baby was what was left of Voldemort's soul. Or something. Heard theories from anyone, 'cuz that a good question.

It was satisfyingly awesome, fer shure

Yup Devon, I think you're right. She (JKR) addressed it in an online chat and I think that's what she said the baby/thing Harry saw was the part of Voldemort that had been trapped in him. Creepy!

:o)
