I really like this cover although it does seem to be more like a movie poster (I'm thinking Jane Austen). It's better than, well, that cover there on your sidebar by Eloisa James ;)

Cindy - "a movie poster"...that's it exactly! I knew it looked like something I'd seen before. As a movie poster, I would like it. As a book cover, not so much. :-/ I think it goes back to my dislike of faces on covers - I prefer headless covers (ooooh...sounds creepy...but it's not!). ;-)

As far as the EJ cover goes, it's just like a dozen other Avon covers. Nothing so objectionable but certainly nothing I'd pick, if I were an author.

I don't like the cover either. Too dull and the woman looks like a manequin. Pass!

Ames - I know exactly what you mean. *tilts head, listens to neck crack and looks at cover again* ;-)

Katie(babs) - Yup. Something very plastic about the cover chick. This is not a direction they need to be working toward, says me. The more I look at it, the less I like it.

Yeah, I agree, I don't like it either. Looks like an ad for a cheesy TV movie. (Though I'll probably still buy it.) :)

Oh, I'll be buying it, Jennie! :-D I just don't like the look of it one bit. Hopefully the second book will look better.
