Bragging or sad???
11.09.2006

I've noticed several people have been posting about the sizes of their TBR piles...so I thought I'd join in. :o) First I had to get caught up on my database of books read this year and clean up my Readerware. Do you have Readerware?? It's awesome! Anyway, my TBR totals up to *trumpets sound*267. Of course, that includes any number of anthologies that I've read part of and keep telling myself I'll finish up eventually.

Well now, if it's gonna be a competition...BRING IT ON!! ;-)

I've been meaning to go to the UBS, anyway. So there! LOL

LOL C2. I'm hopefully going book shopping this weekend. But no worries, I won't buy 20 books. hehe And I haven't gone to the UBS in forever. I miss it. :(

Ohhhh, I think that is about a perfect number. I'm somewhere around that if I recall correctly. I'm bad with math ;)

And wasn't Nathan just dreamy *sigh*

Ames - book stores of all sorts are my happy place!! :o)

CindyS - Nathan was very dreamy (as always)! *sighing along with Cindy* I miss him being on TV. :o(

I didn't go to the bookstore, but I did go to the thrift store, and my new number is 251. Mwuahahaha!

LOL

Oh yeah...it's gonna be like that! You had to taunt me! I didn't get to the UBS this weekend but I'm going tomorrow. }:-> I'll update things then.

OK, see, now you and Ames are scaring me. I'd have a coronary. In fact, I'd stop reading all together if my TBR was as big as you two. Hells no. That's just scary. LOL. :-P

Well Mailyn, I've got some bad news. It was 50% off at the thrift stores here in the 'Peg so I got 8 more books. I'm at 259 now. LOL

Aw man! Ames is going to catch me! ;-) I took a huge bag of books to the UBS and only left with four! So I'm at 271...or maybe 270. I think I finished something since I counted. LOL

Oh - and don't be scared, Mailyn! Come over to the dark side and join us...*evil laughter* You know you want to. Bwahahahahahaha! }:->

Okay C2-you're the winner. :P I didn't take anything to the UBS. I've mostly been reading library books. So those I take back all the time. LOL Which books did you pick up?

At 6:55 PM, Blogger C2

I rule! I rule!! *dancing around with my book bag* LOL

I picked up:
Take a Chance on Me - Susan Donavan - are you the person who recommended that recently?

The Perfect Stranger - Anne Gracie - love this series!

A Silh. Desire by Susan Mallery - The Substitute Millionaire - love her! even her sheik books!

A SIM by Linda Turner - A Younger Man - I don't think I've read her before but I do enjoy an older woman/younger man story. ;-)

Don't you hate going to the bookstore (new or used or thrift or any kind) and walking out empty-handed??? It's so depressing!

At 7:09 PM, Blogger ~ames~

I did rec that book! Woohoo!

I hate coming out empty handed. So frustrating too. :P

I'm not too keen on the older woman/younger man. The woman always puts up too much of a fuss. If it were a guy, he'd be all over a younger woman, you know? LOL I know, if you know what I mean. hehe

At 7:09 PM, Blogger ~ames~

Oh yeah, I just reshelved all my books too. It didn't even take that long. Go me!

At 9:28 PM, Blogger C2

Go you, indeed!! I'm impressed! :-D

Ohhhh...reshelving. I could do that but I'm not going to! LOL I need more space!! More shelves and more space for my shelves, actually.

You're right about the older woman fighting the idea of a younger man...I don't like it when that is the main plot point. If it is outside forces that don't like it, okay...but when she fights it just because he's younger - oy! Who does that?? I prefer younger men, personally. Catch 'em young, train 'em right! ;-) That's why men are all over younger women, don't you think?

At 10:02 AM, Blogger Mailyn

OK, you two are eeeeevil......and scary. :-P

I won't give in!!!! LMAO.

At 11:00 AM, Blogger ~ames~

LOL Mailyn!!

Maybe when I'm older I'll like younger men. But right now, guys my age are jack asses and I can't stand them. LOL I don't think I'll ever like 23 year olds.

I prefer older men myself. But that too will probably change as I get older. LOL I don't want to be a 40 year old who likes 60 year olds! Ewww.

Definitely a big ICK on the 40-year-olds digging the 60-year-olds...you know, unless he is obscenely wealthy. ;-)

Oddly enough, I've always preferred the younger guys. Who knows why...although, I'll admit there is a stage there between say 20-25 that's just obnoxious. LOL
